I just bought a SMTA that was stuck for $500 too. Pretty fair price, considering engine rebuilds are not cheap. A reasonable good running SMTA brings $2500 to $3000. Hard to say what a restored one brings- sell it on Ebay... Hp is about 45-55? Live pto, disk brakes, live hydraulics. Some came with a 2pt fast hitch that can be converted to 3pt. Wide front and powersteering are a plus. Nice tractor to restore. They are becoming somewhat collectible, so if you fix it and sell it, you may not loose money on the deal.
