You're comparing a 75 horsepower tractor to a 85 horsepower tractor, so naturally, the 766 will walk all over the 756. Like was said before, 756 has the 310 German, same as a 358, but with a shorter stroke. The German diesels and the American 300 series are both fine engines. The German diesels will last longer and use less fuel, while the 300 series will start easier and dosen't stink as bad. I don't totally agree with those who say that a 312 or 360 will out-lug a 310 or 358, I've got one 358 in an 826 that will give a 414 in a 966 a run for it's money.
