i haven't run a 358. spent some time on a 706 w/ a 310 a loved it. i currently own a 766 w/ the 360 and like it also. i think the 766 would out pull the 706, it's heavier and seems to have a bit more snort. the 766 has 8000 hours on it with a head job sometime before i got it but the motor in original and still plenty strong. it has a very recent clutch/TA/trans and rearend overhaul.
