Hard to tell by looking, it's just that my "tractor allowance" gets so depleted by the middle of the month that I must be buying gold somewhere. As to the discount -- I bought a $5300 lawn mower from the local JD dealer in 1996, if I'm lucky enough to get the right parts man I get a 10% discount on filters, blades, etc for it. I asked the Case-IH parts man, and he said "not in season" -- don't get it in the winter either -- since I don't farm, I've never bought any tractors there either, so I'm not one of their bigger customers.
