I will try to wiggle out of that one by saying that the rear lift arms were not part of the original tractor, but it was so equipped when it was purchased with rear mounted implements. I had seen that picture and never gave it a second thought, as I considered it to be a part of the implement rather than the tractor. The picture at the top of the page shows the same lift arms painted red. I still don't think that an original part of the tractor, such as the front rockshaft or the touch control levers were ever blue -- unless on the early tractors, IH chose to so that the touch control was emphasized -- could be, but I was 10 years old when the Super A and C came out, and always looked at the new tractors, whenever I went with my dad to the dealer (we never had a Super A or C, though) and picked up their advertising literature, and don't remember it that way. Where's Hugh McKay when you need him?
