I'm not real familiar with a BN, but if I remember correctly it is a thermosyphon system (no water pump). they will push excess coolant out until they reach the correct level. Usually about 1 1/2 inch below the filler neck. Trying to keep them fuller just results in antifreeze being pushed out.
