The tractor has been hard to start lately and floods easily. Now it won't start or even fire at all. The spark looks weak. I put in points. cond, cap and coil a while back. Now I put in new plugs and rechecked the point gap. I have mag tore apart. The magnets seem strong. The only thing that looks wore are the weights on the inside. I think they advance the timing. The weights pivot on two little shafts and they are quite sloppy. You can see where they rub on the inside of the housing because they are sloppy. The magneto does make noise when I try to start it. I think it is the weights rubbing. I don't know if when they are rubbing if it is throwing the timing off. I adusted the timing both ways to see if it would fire. But there is nothing not even smoke. I haven't checked the compression yet. When it is running it runs smooth. It is getting gas. Can you think of anything to check? Thanks Scott
