Man, I hate to see a running old thing cut up. I just have a feeling in the long run it would be cheaper and easier for you to find yourself another tractor and let someone save the one you have. I don't know how many times I have upgraded and improved what ever piece of crap I had to find that I would have shed a lot less blood and speant less on something much better than I ended up with. A good example was my first real computer a $2,500 486DX. Yah! it was going to last me for ever!!!
