I would say that there's no harm in trying!! It may have just leaked out while it was "sleeping". :) As long as it hasn't been running long with the pump dry, it shouldn't have done any harm. Once you fill it, keep an eye on your engine oil to make sure it isn't putting hy-tran into the block. ;)
