Last night while timing my Super C I was reading my IH manual and doing like it said as far as timing is concerned. It told me to look through the hand hole in the bottom of the clutch housing, and rotate the crank till I saw the line marked DC 1-4, (which I am assuming means Dead Center for cylinders 1 and 4). It told me to line that marking up with the marking on the clutch housing cover which is just a semicircular piece of tin held on by two bolts. This piece has a crease in the middle of it that I assumed is the mark they were talking about lining up with. This seems fairly primitive and would tend to be inaccurate in my opinion. Am I lining the wrong things up or is that just how it's done with fine tuning somewhere else?
