Just a few things does it have a distalete manifold on it its a little boxier than the regular and I beleve it has a shutter to warm up manifold or something make sure that is all the way open .
Then take the coil wire out of the dist cap and place it about 1/4 to 5/16' away from the screw on the side for the switch wire and turn it over slowly and look to see what color and how hot the spark is. Let me know more and I will see if I can help you more. JON
