Stan: Every time I or indeed with a group try to apply the thinking you speak of, we come to one model that shoots you right in the foot. Don't have too much problem with the plows and cylinders on the 40 - 60 series. The later models on hp just doesn't wash. examples 1066- 6 cylinder yes but well over 106 hp 4366, 4386 and larger- 6 cylinder yes but those tractors no where near 400 hp. You may have to talk with the ghost of an IH engineer to be sure.
