Those are casting date codes. They only appear to be riveted to the casting, they were actually screwed to the casting mold. The letter at the end of the code represents a year. They started over at A in '55, so B= '56, C= '57, D='58, E= '59, and your F= '60. May or June 24th 1960 is the date that your pieces were cast. That does not make the tractor a '60 however, as the castings needed to cure for several months, and may not have gotten used until '61. My 240 is a '60, it does not have a '60 casting code anywhere. It even has 12 31 E, or December 31 1959, on the PTO casting, but not one single '60 casting.
