Identify M head-#'s welded over

Have a customer with an M head that he says is
high compression.The area where the numbers should
be has been welded over to fix a crack (and failed)
Does anyone know the cc of the combustion chamber
of either regular or a hi comp head ? This one measures
210 cc .If this is not a hi comp head , then it
is not worth removing all of the trash arc weld
and doing a good job with oxy/acet cast iron weld.
