As Greg said below, the difference is in the rear wheel width. The BN is 8 inches narrower than a B. 4 inches on each side.
Either could have a single or dual front wheel, but in narrow configuration only. Neither was available from the factory with a wide front end, although the front end from an A will bolt right on.
The difference is in the length of the differential shaft and housing on both sides. The B's will be 22 inches, the BN's are 18 inches.
