I've seen hoses hook to the 300/350 2 different ways. Some turn up at a 90 degree angle and bolt directly to the pump. Others (like mine) have the rectangular block you mention, and the hoses attach straight in to it. I don't know, but suspect it may have something to do with whether or not the tractor originally came equipped with power steering.

I don't believe the 400/450 pump will fit. It has a larger output and looks slightly bigger overall.
