When I first got my SMTA a few years back it had heavy oil in the transmission and had probably been changed at the factory. WhenI redid the ta i changed to Hytran at the advice of folks on this board. Was told that Hytran should be put in all the places where oil went except the engine. I use it in hydraulics, transmission and pto box.
