Oil Pan 1954 Farmall Super MTA

Went to change the oil in the M and the plug twisted out of the pan with the surrounding metal. So, I am stuck for now. Can rings/threads be welded back on to the pan? Looks like, if I took the pan off and flattened the hold, I might be able to weld it back into place. Anybody have a good way for fixing this problem? Is there a drain cock available that I could fit into the hole? Can a guy buy a used oil pan with a plug in it somewhere? Thanks.
