Hi, many years ago neighbor broke axle on his 434 and it had broken at spline where it goes into bull gear. I can"t remember but I believe he had to take the hydraulic housing off to reach into the differential to drive the broken axle out of the bull gear. He also took the axle assembly off at the differential. Good Luck
