Click on the articles at the left of this page and go to the 12 volt conversion for a M and you will see a wriing diagram and instruction for the 12 volt set up. You may need a new altinator. If so go to auto zone and get a rebuilt 70s model GM for about $30. Unless you want to make your tractor original the 12 volt system work just fine.
