I have a 3 pt. on my H which I put a fairly heavy rear blade on in the winter (not one of those lightweight TSC-style jobs). The front end (NF) gets pretty light sometimes and I would like to weight it down. I don't have front wheel weights and am not sure I want them. I was thinking of taking two pieces of channel iron and bolting them to the engine frame rails and then have weight hung out in front of the tractor on a cross-piece that would tie the two channel together. Is this a good idea or would it stress the frame rails too much? Any other ideas? Thanks....winter is coming and I need to get ready.
