Have you changed the oil yet? Do you plan to run it in the winter?
Could be some knucklehead put some thin oil in it and its getting past the rings.
If you aren't planning on using it when its cold out you could run a thicker oil like a 15w40 that might smoke a bit less.
Could also be a stuck ring in which case maybe some diesel oil with its better detergent package would get it free.
Could also be valve guides? Let it run for awhile (if you can stand the smoke) and see if it clears up any...
