The engine is out of a 403 IH Combine 263. 1970 I think,, it is pretty strong, bout 73 on 94 pump gas. It is bone stock, internally, all the rest of the parts, carb, dist, etc has been gone over and rebuilt. My goal is around 110-130 hp and try to keep it as small engine (cubic inch) that I can. Also, it is a light weight puller,, 3500lbs with me on it, I know about the 301, and for the bang for the buck it would be a good route to go, I wish I could find a set of 806 LP gas pistons, some high compression pistons there. But, I like the idea of the thick cyl walls in the 263, a bit stronger that way. ChadS
