Battery cable ends

I want to make new battery cables for my 6V pos ground tractor. I want to use 0/1 guage welding cables. The only ends for the battery I can find are the kind that bolt two pieces of metal together to smash the cable. Is that ok? I think it will corrode fast. Is there a better solder on type? or crimp on type for the big cable? Thanks for all the help! My tractor is coming allong great!! Bob
