Hey thanks for the replies! Just to clarity... I verified with the diesel shop about the motor job and it was confirmed. It is a reputable shop and he indicated that the motor was disassembled, new pistons, rings, cylinders sleeves, new bearings, oil pump, etc. Also, the pto does not spin all the time. The owner does not have cleaning very high on his agenda. Is it possible that the grease/oil on the wheels is an accumulation from when the pto is operating equipment? And finally, I realize that it might not be a "great" tractor, but here in northern Ontario, there is limited selection.... heck, we don't even have an agricultural equipment dealer in our area!
