Yes the hand clutch did give you a form of live PTO. It stopped the movement of the tractor by letting the gear motion in the differential spin out the left hand pinion. This stops the tractor from moving forward but the transmission is still spinning, just the final drive stops. Kind of like when your stuck in the mud and one rear tire is doing all of the spinning. Same thing just the spinning is throught the lefthand pinion. It actually gives you everything live, but it won"t be something you want for loader work because you can"t shift with just the hand clutch. It works really well with a baler or combine or mowing machine. I have one on a "M" and a Super H.
