engine swap question for IH856?

recently me and my dad put a new 310D(german diesel) on our 715 combine and my dad has come upon a deal for a 856D tractor without an engine and we have been told that the engine out of the combine will work with some modifications. Could some of you IH guru"s help us out with any details it would be greatly appreciated!
