Hugh, Thanks for the help. I will check the engine mod# tonight...appreciate the direction on finding it...Jim believes it to be a 2400 tractor/backhoe...I searched all over for a differential lock...not there..I do have dual brakes...My rough running seemed to improve when I adjusted the one lone carb adjustment screw...in tight...although I think I have bad gaskets...The intake manifold sweats water...I think it is a bad gasket between carb and intake..maybe that is why she runs better with a tight carb adjustment...she is suckin air through a bad gasket? Of course there is always the basic tune up, which I will do..We have made progress...Thanks for your help, BTW when i tightened the screw she quite SuRgInG so much. I used to have to idle at 1000rpm..I can now approach 600rpm Chuck
