I repaired the grill on my A using fiberglass and Evercoat metal filler. I used a piece of plastic on the outside to keep the repair from sagging and to give it a smoother look, then peeled the plastic away. You can't tell that there were ever any rust holes. It looks terrible on the inside, though, and now that I have a nice air compressor and a grinder I'll take care of that. It would have been easier to find a replacement or a reproduction grill, but I really wanted to keep all the original parts no matter the labor involved.
