560 diesel injection pump

I have two 560 diesels. 1960 has a Roosa Master model# 1683293 and the 1961 has a Roosa Master model #240340. They look identical to me. I was told that the injection pump on the 1961 is not original but an improved pump which responds better. Does anyone know anything about this?
