Finding two different kinds of Fasthitch arms?

The arms that came on the drawbar setup fit;s the tractor hitch real well. The aftermarket arms with ball swivels in them(3pt adapter) were out of material that's quite a bit to short top to bottom. Had to add some filler pieces to the bottom of them to make them work. Now I just got back with the sickle and plow and the plow arms are the same way. Someone had to add material to the bottom of the arms to make them fit good enough. What applications and tractors were the "short" arms intended for? Loren
