Head gasket sealant

Hello- I bought some Copper Spray-a-Gasket to use on the head gasket. However, I was all ready to spray but was baffled as to what to spray. One side of the gasket? The metal side of it? The non-metal side of it? The engine block? The head? All? Thanks. ffolkes
