856 key switch max amperage?

Just how much power can a IH key switch handle? I pull my 790 New Holland chopper with the 856, and have the control box wired directly to the battery. That's a problem, because after a long day, it's easy to forget to turn off the control box. I want to just wire it to the key switch, but I don't want to do any damage. I would guess that the control box pulls a little less than 20 amps, since thats what size circut breaker is in front of it. Will I be alright?
