Shep - I don't think I ever saw fenders on an H (or M) here in upstate NY until I began visiting tractor shows. And even today at show's I'd guess less than 25% of the restored H's have fenders.

My suspicion is it was a cost issue for the farmer when the tractors were first purchased. Case in point: My father in law bought several H's and M's new (both standard and Supers) - none of them ever had fenders.
