484 industrial transmission

I'm looking at a 484 industrial tractor. The transmission has a knock in the section between the engine and the main transmission when the main trans is in gear and the shuttle is in neutral with the clutch out with the engine at is's lowest idle. The knock is consistent and louder in the higher gears. You can feel the knock when you put your hand on the case side. increasing the engine idle about 50 rpm makes the noise go away. The noise is not noticeable drivving the tractor. any thoughts or advise is appreciated. Gene
