CaseIH sells a fluid called Hy-Tran which is what you want for the hydraulic system on your 300U, capacity is about 3-1/2 gallons. "Full" is 2-1/2" down from the top of the reservoir (without the reducing bushing). If you"re going to change the fluid, it would make sense to also check out the screen (inside the reservoir) which is a typical problem area when the hydraulics on these tractors quit working - however, it"s not something you really want to do unless you"re having a problem.

The plug/dipstick is part #361867R11, perhaps available from CaseIH - if not, check with a salvage dealer.

You"ll be doing yourself a favor if you get an Operators Manual for this tractor (good ones available from Binder Books .com).
