Don't know what you are running for hydraulic oil or trans/diff lube. If they are significantly different as I assume they are you should be able to determine the type of oil and therefore the source. Gear lube has an odor you should recognize. You may have to clean it up some. You can also buy special die to put in the oil or hydraulic system that will show up vey clearly with black light.
