My Farmall H started running rough while finishing hauling the last load of hay into the barn. It has steadly gotten worse to where it did not want to run. I needed to choke it heavily to get to run. It would run for a short while and then die. It appeared to be a gas problem. I cleaned the settlement bowl and blew air back though to the tank. The hose into the carburetor had a stead but not fast flow. The screen into the carburetor was clean. The carburetor when disassembled appeared to have the needle valve stuck inthe closed position. I put all of the carburetor in the degreaser since I did not find my gallon can of carburetor cleaner. I blew everthign out with the air gun and reassemebled. Now it seems to be getting too much gas and flooding. I checked the compression and all four cyclinders were at 80 pounds compression. I checked for spark and it was blue. I am thinking I need to rebuild the carburetor. Are kits still available? I looked at rebuilt carburetors and they are bit high at this point. Perhaps after more frustartion the price will seem cheap.
