It is funny how things come back. That is why I read every post on this Farmall site even if the subject is not one of my problems. A while back I was surprised to read that a magneto could be "jury rigged" to work like a distributer. I am working with a friend to rebuild not restore a cub. He is finnally to the tune up stage and he is questioning why the magneto has an external coil wired to it. Does any one know the proper way to make this conversion? Does the mag still use the same points that originally belonged with it?
