Do you need a "special situation moderator" to talk you off that ledge? Get used to the continual outflow of $$$. My brother initially just wanted to convert his 400 from a narrow front to a wide front. One thing led to another and many thousands of dollars later...well, you know the drill by now. A friend of ours brags about his $10,000 JD B. Again, one thing led to another. He claims it wasn't the parts that dog-eared his checkbook--it was all the beer and pizza he bought over the course of 8 months for the dudes helping him get this thing restored. I've been slowly pecking away at our 460 getting details done on it over the last 3 years. It's really a nice piece now. The latest item was replacing the POS steering wheel that was on it with a correct one including a new POWER STEERING center badge. Strong dollars for both items, but the correct wheel sure makes a difference in how the old beast feels and handles believe it or not. Hang in there. 460s are cool especially when pulling hard.
