Vapor lock can only occur when you have a suction type of fuel pump such as was found on older cars & trucks. The M has a gravity feed fuel system so unless you have a plugged fuel cap on the tank the problem is most likely with the ignition system. Test for good spark when attempting to restart the hot engine. It should be bright blue & jump at least a 1/4" gap to a good ground.
