Hi Pedro, Are these new sleeves and pistons that you're installing? There's a rule of thumb for determining ring gap. For every inch of piston
diameter you multiply by .003. On a Farmall M with a piston diameter of 3.875"X .003= .0116".
This is within the .010" to 020" limits stated in the IH manual.

I never knew where this rule came from, but it is very close to the clearances you need on your ring gaps. Good Luck, Hal
