David, The A parts manual shows an illustration of the shutters and closing linkage. It is a wise investment regardless of whether you plan to install shutters or not. I'm questioning your percieved need for shutters, unless you are restoring a distilate or kerosene model. If you are adding shutters for functional purposes as you stated to allow you "better" temperature control, I'm wondering what you consider "better". Gasolene models really dont need shutters, as they run on the cool side, and unless your radiator isnt corculating properly or you have lots and lots of rust built up in your block, your tractor should run just fine. Shutters wont help it run cooler, only hotter.
