It's gonna be tough to get the PTO out of gear(and hard on the shifting mechanism) if there is a load on it, which there would be if it is pushing the tractor. I think for bush hogging, the overrunning clutch is essential.

Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
