Ed � If the generator is good and if your B is equipped with stock cutout relay, with the engine running at full speed the ammeter should indicate 2 � 3 amps charge with the light switch set at �L�, and 12 � 15 amps when set at �H�.

However if the cutout�s been replaced with a voltage regulator (which often happens) the ammeter should show 12 � 15 amps at startup then gradually taper off as the battery charges up.
