Is it 12 or 6 volt? I had a 300 in the shop the other day with a bad miss in the engine, would idle all day long till I reved it up, I found that the plug gap was at .028, I opened them up to .032 and miss was gone,, then the plugs fouled out due to the plugs fouling before the repair, new plugs with a bigger gap, and no more trouble. For a power tune, I have found that setting timing at 28 degrees advance makes the best power, Have you messed with the carb at all? ChadS
