Dave, the H(152),Super H(164),300 Farmall or Utility(169)& 350 Farmall or Utility(175) engines will fit in your 300U. The H & S/H engines have less horsepower though and you'll have to swap the front crankcase cover,plate,etc. from the 169 engine in order to mount hyd. pump. The mounts will also have to be swapped from the H, S/H,and Farmall 300,350 engines. You should be able to find one of these.
