Go easy on yourself there!! You're NOT a moron....if you were you wouldn't be worrying about tranny lubrication!! With that aside, look for a square head pipe plug on the left side of the transission, in front of the brake cover and about 1/3 of the way of from the bottom of the transmission. Unscrew that plug - oil should be to the level of the bottom of that opening. If you need to add (sounds like you will...) the fill port is the large flat plug with a recessed square drive in the tranny deck. Alternatively you can knock the pin out that holds the shift lever, remove the lever and then pour the oil in there. Good luck, and don't be surprised if that dipping seal drips more after you add oil to the transmission. (Don't ask how I might know...)
