jonsey: If your SM has live pump in the distributor drive it should work fine. You will need the pump in good working order. You didn't say what the tractor has for hydraulic outlet valves. The spool valves could be a problem. I had a 2000 loader on a 560. When I sold that loader without the tractor, the buyer installed it on a Farmall 300. He first used the 300 built in valves. Later he added a double spool valve ahead of tractors built in system. This gave him more break away presure. On the 300 he was using same pump as your SM. He plumbed this in so the power beyond the valve went to tractors built in system. Made quite a unit 300 with 5 double action valves. If you do this make sure you get a power beyond valve.
