Harold: My understanding of the difference in 300-350 rpm Farmall versus Utility was more a question of ground speeds in the variuos gears. They do have the same gear ratio right from clutch to rear axle. Because the Utility had smaller tires than the Farmalls, the extra 250 rpm on utilities made up for the smaller tires. We had a Farmall 300 at home and my uncle had a Utility 300. On the road in 5th gear there was little difference in speed.
